Once, I found peace.
I found my way through and sighted a place of perfect stillness. I made home here, in my mind, and marveled at the campfire skies and warm solid earth beneath my feet.
I lived a crystalline void, a quiet land where I understood all that I was and all that I wished and all that could ever matter.
Until I no longer did.
I remember this place though, but only through the sand shifted, dusty eyes of memory, broken apart, overgrown and wind blown like ancient forgotten ruins.
These are maps. Landscapes to lost horizons, a puzzle solved and a puzzle shattered, a place once found, then lost... and sorely missed.
